Loader Operator - FSJ

Location: Fort St. John, B.C.

Helical Pier Systems is seeking a Front End Loader Operator to join our team in Fort St. John, BC.

This is a full time shop position. You must live in Fort St. John or the surrounding area or be willing to relocate.

The Front End Loader Operator is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of all products shipped into and out of the facility. They play a key role in the organizing of inventory within the yard.

You bring the following:

  • Work well with others
  • Ability to follow direction, remain alert, and maintain a high level of concentration
  • Have good judgement and the ability to react quickly
  • Knowledge of, or training in, WHMIS, OSSA is considered an asset

Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta

We are in need of an experienced Senior Sales person to join our team in Sherwood Park. Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing customers
  • Assist with developing and implementing effective sales strategies, ensure follow up on sales opportunities, and resolve sales and service issues
  • Ability to develop effective and concise project proposals including cost estimates and schedules with minimum supervision

Qualifications:

  • A Civil engineering technology or Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Bachelors in Marketing or commensurate experience
  • Experience in civil foundation and pile driving a strong asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales in a construction related industry

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or Mining) or Construction Engineering technologist
  • Minimum 5 years of experience related to project management in a construction related industry

Position Summary:

  • MCAW ticket preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Welding trade

Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic/CVIP Certification

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Helical Pier Systems is seeking Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanics with CVIP Certification to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta.    
 
Position Summary:
The Heavy Duty Mechanic’s main responsibility is to diagnose and complete repairs on company heavy equipment (Tractor/Trailers, Excavators, Digger Derrick Booms, Skid Steer, Drive Heads, and Loaders). Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on company equipment as well as diagnose and troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems. HPS will provide a tool allowance.

Requirements:
  • Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (inter-provincial seal preferred)
  • Class 5 driver’s license; Class 1 license preferred and reliable transportation
  • CVIP Ticket is required
  • Experience with hydraulics; excavator, boom truck, skid steer
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Cummins engines; Peterbuilt and Kenworth trucks is an asset
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing a variety of CAT equipment is an asset
  • Must pass a pre-employment Drug, Alcohol, and 50lb Physical Fitness test
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Step Deck Truck Driver - Lamont, AB

Location: Lamont, AB

Required ASAP! Helical Pier Systems is currently looking for an experienced & safety conscious Truck Driver to join our team in Lamont, AB. The Class 1 driver is primarily responsible for pulling step decks throughout Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. We operate under the Federal Hours of Service.

Construction Surveyor

Location: Alberta

Helical Pier Systems Ltd. (HPS), North America’s largest engineering, manufacturer, and installer of helical piles, since 1977, has an immediate position available for a Surveyor (Construction).

Under the direct supervision of Surveyor Manager, the Surveyor’s main responsibilities will include:
  • Completion of various types of surveys including stake outs and topographic surveys
  • Ensuring implementation company safe work policy and quality assurance
  • Communicating scope and schedule information to team members
  • Managing the flow of data from field to office and back
  • Ensuring project tasks are completed on time and accurate
  • Having field notes that are clear, concise and accurate
Qualifications:
  • Preferably have a technical diploma in geometrics with a minimum of 2 years in the Survey field. A combination of field experience and education would also be acceptable
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and attention to detail
  • Competency with computers, total stations, GPS and laser levels
  • Willingness to learn new methods/field software
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract for the past 3 years
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced working environment on multiple projects
  • Must pass a pre-employment Drug, Alcohol and 50lb physical fitness test

Must be willing to travel throughout Alberta and work rotations.
