Alvin Pyke
President & CEO
As the leader of HPS for the past 3 years, Alvin has been instrumental in promoting the technology of Helical Pile, deep foundations for a variety of industries. HPS is a pioneer of the emerging technology of Helical Piles and under Alvin’s leadership the company has experienced significant growth.
Alvin has a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary located in Alberta, Canada. He has a background in industrial construction and engineering projects having worked 32 years in the industries of Oil and Gas and Electric Utilities. Formerly a senior partner of a full services engineering company Alvin spearheaded a venture to acquire and build the deep foundation businesses of Helical Pier Systems Ltd.
Alvin grew up in Alberta, Canada, at the heart of the Oil Sands industry. He spent much of his early career designing and building Oil sands mega-projects, later focusing his energy on building his own engineering firm. Alvin’s engineering firm was involved in the design of many notable facilities around the globe including the world’s largest petrochemical facility and the world’s largest sulphur recovery plant.

Geoff has been with Helical Pier Systems since 2005 working alongside company founder, Ed Heppner to turn HPS into Canada’s largest helical pile exporter.
Geoff has a diploma in Marketing from Okanagan College and diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He has a background in Distributed Control Systems, automated data collection, control and presentation. He spent much of his early career designing high-level live data field reporting for Operations, Engineering and Accounting. Hibernia and Terra Nova Projects were two significant projects Geoff was involved with while working at Petro-Canada.
Geoff grew up in Calgary, Alberta, the centre of the Canadian Oil and Gas industry. Prior to returning to school Geoff worked for many years as a Derrick hand on an oil and gas drilling rig in Alberta.
