Work Camps
Utilizing modular plans and developer plans, helical piers are installed throughout the area to exact locations specified through surveying. Helical Piers are installed and placed into position according to the design of the modular buildings manufacturer. The installer is required to embed the helical piers to a pre-determined torque-on-install. Some areas require the piers to be embedded in excess of 70 feet, where other areas piers simply are installed below the frost line.
The piers are cut to an elevation allowing the trailers to be placed onto the piers and welded securely to the frame of the building. Cross bracing may be required to support the building against lateral, or wind loading. Larger diameter piers are better suited for buildings, which may be under higher lateral loads.
